Sea side resorts are only about an hours drive away. The setting is beautiful, with views from nearly every window from our cottage overlooking the stunning lake. Myself, husband, 3 children and parents all had a thoroughly wonderful time. My husband is a carp fisherman and loved fishing on the lake which was so close to the 3 bedroom cottage we stayed in he could keep coming in for cups of coffee and supplies of food etc. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need. We will definitely return and just can't wait. Thank you York Lakeside Lodges for a totally wonderful time, we only wished we could stay an extra week." Waterworld at Monks Cross has good swimming pools/slides etc. The ghost walk leaving the Shambles at 7.30pm daily was great fun and enjoyed by all ages."
